The final sanding of the drywall will come after the cabinets, countertops, and backsplash are installed. Then it’s on to the hardwood floor installation and staining!
Today we passed the Fairfax County’s rough-in inspection with flying colors, and now we have concealment approval giving us the ability to cover the walls with drywall on Friday. After that we can now install unfinished notched hardwood floors and then custom stain them to match the existing floors elsewhere in the house. Stay tuned!
Tomorrow(4/20/2016) we will be conducting an inspection with the county of our progress thus far and once we obtain concealment approval we can begin with the next phase. This phase includes installation of: drywall, hardwood floors, and cabinetry! Stay tuned for photo/video updates!
